Mallory and Scott tied the (Waste)Knot on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2025.
Their Mountain View Wedding at Fraser River Lodge this past February was an absolute DREAM! Talk about soulmate clients. Their passion for sustainability mixed with their unique creativity made this wedding day so special. WasteKnot was honoured to help each step of the way.
After they got engaged, Mallory and Scott reached out to Lead Planner and Founder of WasteKnot, Mallory, due to WasteKnot’s eco-friendly approach. Foreseeing some miscommunication might happen during the planning process due to two Mallory’s on the emails, WasteKnot’s Mallory made the switch to use her nickname “Mallo” during the planning process and on the day.
From custom Stars Wars themed table “planets” to dreamy dried floral bouquets and live plants as centrepieces AND guest gifts, this wedding was truly unique and earth-conscious. Here are some eco-swaps we loved to see:
- Stunning custom dried florals from Yakashiro Farm used for the bouquets and boutonnieres (arranged by the planner Mallo herself!)
- A local, ethical farm-to-table buffet menu with composting practices onsite at the amazing venue, the Fraser River Lodge
- Live Potted Plants as centrepieces that guests were given as gifts based on the Trivia Winners
Other special decor touches included beautiful blue water goblets and green votive candle holders from Bespoke Decor, corsica charger plates from Pedersen’s Event Rentals, and a dreamy wisteria chandelier from Valley Weddings that matched the vintage meets modern vibes.
Huge shoutout to the other awesome vendors who helped make this happen:
