Lindsey + Stefan

Squamish, BC is a beautiful city that Lindsey and Stefan fell in love with. Located in the coastal mountainside, they knew their combined love of nature and travel would influence their venue selection for their wedding, and therefore decided to celebrate at Sea to Sky Gondola. They wanted to honour mother nature and have a simplistic yet beautiful wedding, and I was honoured they chose WasteKnot Weddings and Events to help organize their special day. A rainy day couldn’t stop these two love birds from celebrating exactly the way they wanted surrounded by beautiful nature on a mountain with close friends and family.

Lindsey and Stefan included many eco-friendly decor elements during their special day. They rented ferns and pots from GardenWorks to place down the aisle as decor, and then later repurpose inside the reception room after. The seating chart was made from a wooden board and they also chose to have white seasonal, local flowers from Valley Buds Flower Farm in Squamish for both bouquets and table arrangements. To compliment the white and olive green colour palette, they rented green chiffon table runners from Bespoke Decor. Instead of a traditional wedding cake, the couple honoured the groom’s Swedish heritage by making a Swedish pancake-style cake the night before and topping it with a polaroid photo from the night before- too cute! Another special touch of the day was the honey jar wedding favours that were made from local honey with custom embroidery on the top for each person’s name. It was a lovely day for a lovely couple. Enjoy these stunning photos from the day, captured by the talented and local to the area: Jen + Brian Photo and Film.
