Rachel + Shawn

A little rain couldn’t stop Rachel and Shawn from a beautiful wedding day full of family, friends, and lots of love. 

This earth-conscious couple hired WasteKnot after Shawn surprised Rachel with a touching Christmas time proposal! They had an intimate ceremony at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church in New Westminster, followed by a lunchtime reception at the stunning Hart House Restaurant up the road in Burnaby. 

Some wonderful eco-swaps they incorporated included:

  • QR code programs for less paper waste
  • a mirror Welcome Sign
  • handmade paper flower arrangement centrepieces (thanks, maid of honour!)
  • unique table numbers that included the year and story of a special memory from Rachel and Shawn

After the reception, they headed to a super-local honeymoon on Vancouver Island to experience the beautiful BC nature and eco-friendly vibes. We wish them years ahead of happiness!
